About PortaPics

PortaPics is a photo feed for porta potty sightings. Yes, really.

Portable toilets are everywhere. Construction sites, music festivals, the far edge of every county fair parking lot. Nobody pays attention to them, and we decided somebody should. So if you spot one in the wild, take a picture and post it here. That's the whole site.

How it works

Snap a photo and fill out the field notes if you can: manufacturer, rental company, location, color, condition, whatever else you noticed. Submit it, and a real person reviews it before it goes live. We like to keep the feed clean, which is more than can be said for some of the subjects.

Once approved, your post hits the home feed where people can react, comment, and vote. Votes roll up into the post's poop score. We didn't have to call it that but we chose to.

Registries

When you tag a manufacturer or rental company in your field notes, that tag feeds into our manufacturer and rental registries. Think of them as reference pages: wiki-style notes, known models, and every post the community has filed under that name. They're built by users, not vendors, and nothing in them should be read as an endorsement. We are not in the business of telling you which porta potty company to hire. We are barely in a business at all.

Featured

Every so often a post is simply too good for the regular feed. Those end up in Featured, our hall of fame.

We have an RSS feed with the top posts from the last 30 days, if you'd like porta potties delivered to your reader of choice.
